An arsine generator is a device that producesarsine gas, as compound of arsenic and hydrogen.

Arsine is a colorless, flammable, and highly toxic gas. It has a suffocating odor. Arsine is used in semiconductor manufacturing and as a Chemical Etchant.

Arsine is produced by the hydrolysis of arsenic trichloride or arsenic trifluoride, or by the reduction of arsenious oxide with hydrogen gas in the presence of a metal oxide catalyst.

The resulting mixture of hydrogen and arsenic vapor is passed through a water scrubber to remove any hydrochloric or hydrofluoric acid fumes, and then is led to a cooling condenser. The gaseous arsine is then collected in a receiver.

Arsine is a hazardous material and extreme care must be taken in its handling. It is imperative that arsine generators be installed and operated in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Arsine Generator Function

An Arsine Generator is a type of equipment that is used to produce the poisonous gas, Arsine. Arsine is a colorless, flammable gas that has a foul odor. It is used in many industries, including the semiconductor and glass industries. Arsine is used in semiconductor manufacturing to dope silicon and other semiconductor materials. It is also used in the production of glass, where it is used to remove oxygen from the molten glass. Arsine is a very dangerous gas, and can be lethal if inhaled. The Arsine Generator is a very important piece of equipment in many industries, and is essential for the safe production of Arsine.

Arsine Generator Manufacturer

There are a variety of manufacturers that produce arsine generators. Some of the more popular manufacturers include Well-Tech, Aixtron, and V Tech. These manufacturers produce a variety of different models of arsine generators, which vary in features and price.

Arsine Generator With Clear-Seal® Joint

Arsine Generator

This generator was engineered for arsine analysis using the silver diethyldithiocarbamate (SDDC) colorimetric method (meets ASTM/USP and EPA specifications). The arsine absorber has a socket joint, while the scrubber tube has a standard taper 24/40 Clear-Seal joint and a standard taper 12/2 ball joint held together by a size 12 stainless steel ball joint clamp. This unit is manufactured from Wheaton 33® low extractable borosilicate glass (which meets ASTM Type I, Class A and USP Type I standards). Reference: Standard Test Method for Arsenic in Water," ASTM D2972-74.
