Determination of particle size by sieving method

The sample of the presumed quantity is kept above the sieve and tapped. In doing so, large particles are retained by a special sieve number. Thus, the particles pass through the holes of the sieve according to their size and move at different levels. The smaller particles settle on the finer sieve.
