Variations on angle of repose methods

• The drained slope angle is decided by allowing an additional amount of material above a given diameter base to “flow”. The shape of a cone of powder on a base of a given diameter makes it possible to determine the angle of the slope drained.

• The dynamic angle of repose fills the cylinder and rotates at a certain speed. The dynamic angle of repose is determined by the flowing powder, the dynamic angle of repose is formed. The plane which separates the particles which slide on the top layer of powder and which separates the particles which rotate with the drum is called the internal angle of kinetic friction.

The falling angle of the powder has no intrinsic property, which depends very much on the method used to make the powder cone.
