✔ Who invented the test tube rack?

This instrument it was created by the German scientist Karl Friedrich Mohr who served as a professor of pharmacy in Bonn. The aporto in the volumetric analysis creating a balance of unequal arms that is known today as: Mohr-Westphal scale, this is used for the determination of the density of a liquid.

Additionally i produce materials commonly used in the laboratory such as: the universal support, test tube, the rack, among others. I also conduct studies on the the process of winemaking and the preparation of various chemical compounds.

✎ What is the Test tube rack for?

The rack it serves to keep the test tubes stable in a straight position, so such that possible falls of these are avoided, causing them to break and also spill the solution they contain. Since the test tubes are very delicate materials, because they are made of glass (usually pyrex), so they are sensitive to impacts.

Apart from keeping the test tubes in a firm position and giving them security, it allows a good organization of these during laboratory analyzes. It also facilitates the transport of said tubes, since you can take the rack with these, and move them to another place, as appropriate.

It is made of wood

Frequent me the most of the ones that are known are made of wood, however, they are also they can be made of metal or plastic. Of those it would be recommended to have those that are made of metal, because they are very resistant and have a high durability.  Apart that they must endure corrosive chemicals and be easy to clean.
